CA affirms earlier decision rejecting martial law claimants’ plea they be awarded $2B in damages

(Eagle News) — The Court of Appeals has affirmed its earlier decision rejecting the enforcement of a Hawaii court’s judgment that awarded almost $2 billion in damages to martial law claimants. In its ruling, the CA’s Former Twelfth Division said there was “no new or substantial matter” raised by petitioners  former Commission on Human Rights  chair Etta Rosales, Hilda Narciso, Priscilla Mijares, Mariano Dimaranan, and director Joel Lamangan  that warrants a reversal of its July 7, 2017 decision.
