In an advisory, the US Embassy also said that its affiliate offices will be also closed tomorrow. (Eagle News)—Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada announced a suspension of classes in Arellano University on Saturday, Oct. 6. This was after a cargo truck crashed in a column in the university on Legarda St. The vehicle’s container flipped over, causing the oil to leak.

(Eagle News) — Classes on Friday, Sept. 21, have been suspended in Manila. The suspension was declared in anticipation of rallies to be held in time for the 46th anniversary of the declaration of martial law. The suspension applies to all levels in public and private schools.
Maroon 5 to return to the PHL in March 2019
(Eagle News) — Popular American band Maroon 5 is coming to the Philippines next year. Philippine Concerts said the band will be in the country on March 5, 2019 for its Red Pill Blues Tour. Red Pill Blues is the band’s sixth studio album released in November last year. It includes songs such as “Who I am,” “Moves like Jagger,” among others. Maroon 5 last performed in the Philippines in 2015.

Fire hits residential area in Manila
