          (Eagle News) — The Iglesia Ni Cristo is currently conducting its relief distribution program, Lingap sa Mamamayan, to help those affected by typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut) in Itogon, Benguet which was hit by massive landslides that killed at least 19 people, and buried about 40 others which are still missing. The INC volunteers are currently giving out relief bags at the Loacan Elementary School.

(Eagle News)–No Filipinos were hurt during the onslaught of Typhoon “Mangkhut” in Guangdong Province in China, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.   (Eagle News) — Vast rice and cornfields are damaged by typhoon Ompong’s powerful winds and rainds that slammed into Ilagan City in Isabela.  Initial estimated pegged the damage to agriculture at more than P370 million.   In the Philippines, the over-all damage to agriculture was estimated at more than P14 billion, according to the Department of Agriculture. Typhoon Ompong’s damage to PHL agri reaches P14.27 billion

  (Eagle News) — Typhoon “Ompong” damaged P14.27 billion worth of agriculture after it destroyed more than half a million hectares of farmland, according to the Department of Agriculture. This was after “Mangkhut,” locally named “Ompong,” unleashed its fury in the Philippines and left at least 50 people dead. “Ompong” made landfall in northern Luzon early Saturday, and left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday night.
