LAGUNA (Eagle News) — Pinabubuwag ni Environment and National Resources Secretary Gina Lopez ang mga malalaking fish pens na umuukupa sa Laguna lake. Sinabi ni Lopez na ilan sa mga nasabing fish pens ay hindi naman pag-aari ng mga mangingisda kundi ng mga malalaking korporasyon bagamat wala naman itong tinukoy na kumpanya. Ang Laguna De Bay, ang pinakamalaking lake sa Pilipinas. Mayroon itong lake surface area na 911 square kilometers at may tinatayang lalim na 2.8 meters. Katuwang sa pangangalaga at pag-protekta rito ang Laguna Lake Development Authority. Nais ng LLDA, na magkaroon ng transformation ang bawat lake ng Laguna. Ito ay isinasaayos upang maipagpatuloy ang fisheries, transport route, power generation, source of potable water at iba pa.
