(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday, Sept. 1, visited the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Escort Flotilla Four as it docked at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo. The fleet — composed of  Japanese Ship (JS) Kaga (DDH-184) with five  SH-60K patrol helicopters, an Akizuki-class destroyer JS Suzutsuki (DD-117), and a Murasame-class destroyer JS Inazuma (DD-105) — is in the country for a five-day goodwill visit.
