Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said Abuel’s appointment was announced at the start of the Cabinet meeting on Monday, April 1. Duterte named Janet Abuel at the helm of the DBM following the appointment of then-Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno as Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas governor.
