QUEZON City, Philippines – According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), an inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will cause rains in the Visayas and Mindanao as well as in Mindoro and Palawan. An inter-tropical convergence zone will cause cloudy skies and rain in eastern Visayas and Mindanao.
“Ompong” has totally left the Philiipine area of responsibility, but an Inter-tropical Convergence Zone causes rains to southern Luzon and Metro Manila.
Expect rains and thunderstorms all over the country, brought by the combination of an active inter-tropical convergence zone and a low-pressure area. According to the modelling done by PAGASA, said weather system will not develop into a storm.
According to the PAGASA, the hot and humid weather brought about by the monsoon break will continue to affect Metro Manila for three days. On the other hand an inter-tropical convergence zone is affecting Mindanao, bringing rains and thunderstorms.
