(Eagle News)—Ride-hailing company Hype has filed a petition asking the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board not to renew Grab’s license to operate. In seeking the same, Hype noted what it said were Grab’s violations of rules governing Transport Network Vehicle Services, including its alleged overcharging of over P100 to passengers during rush hours. Grab has filed a petition to renew its certificate of accreditation, which expired on July 3.

(Eagle News) — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board has approved the accreditation of another Transport Network Company. The LTFRB approved GoLag Inc.’s accreditation after approving Hirna’s and Hype’s. The accreditation comes after Uber sold its operations in the Southeast Asian market to Grab in exchange for a 27.5 percent stake in its former rival.
