Martial Law victims get monetary compensation

(Eagle News)– Around 400 Martial Law victims lined up on Monday (May 8) at the Human Rights Victims’ Claims Board in University of the Philippines Diliman to get their initial compensation for the suffering they experienced during the Marcos regime. Martial Law “victim” claims processing done by 2017

(Eagle News)– The Human Rights Victims’ Claims Board (HRVCB) announced on Wednesday that the reviewing of claims for compensation from Martial Law victims will be finished next year. HRVCB Chairperson Lina Sarmiento said they already cross-checked 17,000 out of 75,000 applications. The board has until May 12, 2018 to finish processing the compensation for Martial Law victims.
