Expect two to four storms this month

PAGASA monitors LPA

QUEZON City, Philippines, June 30 (Eagle News) — The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is currently monitoring two low pressure areas (LPA) that is approaching the Philippine area of responsibility. Said LPA’s have the possibility of becoming storms and are strengthening the “habagat” which brings heavy rain in the majority of the country. Less possibility of storm entering Philippines

“Habagat” brings rains to MIndanao while the rest of the country will experience fair weather. PAGASA added that the storm in the Pacific will not enter the Philippines, saying that “Mario” is the last storm to visit the country this month.

“Habagat” affects Northern Luzon

The “habagat” continues to affect the northern part of Luzon. Said part of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Calayan and Babuyan group of islands. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy skies.
