Fewer families consider themselves poor, SWS survey finds

(Eagle News)–Fewer families consider themselves poor, a recent Social Weather Stations survey found. The survey, conducted from September 27 to 30, found 42% of families, or an estimated 10.3 million families, consider themselves as such, a decline from the 45%, or the estimated 11 million families that rated themselves as such in June. SWS: Average hunger rate in PHL in 2018 the lowest since 2003

(Eagle News) — The Philippines registered an average hunger rate of 10.8 percent in 2018, the lowest annual average hunger rate since 2003, the Social Weather Stations said. Millions of Filipino families say that they are poor according to survey

QUEZON City, Philippines – According to the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS), 10. 5 million Filipino families consider themselves poor. The figure represents 45% of the respondents of the survey that was conducted last June 24 – 27 with 1, 200 respondents. SWS added that this is the lowest self-poverty rate since 2011.
