After intercepting several shipments of fake medicine from China in the Manila International Cargo Port, the Bureau of Customs asked the public to be careful in buying medicine. The BOC was able to intercept 5 million fake Biogesic tablets and 1 million fake Solmux capsules. The Department of Health (DOH) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) asked the public to be careful of fake, illegal and non-registered medicine sold in the country. Said agencies added that the fake medicine in the country amounts to Php 6 million and came from China, India and Pakistan.
