Controversial dredging vessel leaves Lobo, Batangas

(Eagle News) — The vessel that had attempted to conduct dredging activities in Batangas’ Lobo River has left the area. Seagate Engineering and Buildsystems’ MV Emerald left on Friday morning, after the Philippine Ports Authority canceled its anchorage permit. Earlier, the Coast Guard said the environmental compliance certificate issued to Seagate was also cancelled.
