TESDA launches barangay-based scholarship program

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) will give free training to the thousands of drug dependents who surrendered to the authorities through its barangay-based training program. TESDA already coordinated with the barangay officials as directed by President Rodrigo Duterte to give rehabilitation and special training to drug dependents. This program will encourage them to stay away from drugs.

LGU should give cash for work to drug dependents – Ejercito

QUEZON City, Philippines – Senator JV Ejercito is encouraging the local government units (LGUs) to take a lead in the campaign against illegal drugs. Senator Ejercito said that LGUs should not depend totally on the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the eradication of illegal drugs and that LGUs should take part in the rehabilitation of the drug dependents that surrendered, including giving cash for work to said former drug dependents. https://youtu.be/DGMKH4jgRF8
