The Department of Labor and Employment has removed the deployment ban of overseas Filipino workers to Venezuela and West Bank, Israel due to the removal of the Department of Foreign Affairs of crisis alert levels in the said countries.

DOLE Will Mount 65 Job Fairs nationwide on May 1, Labor Day

Secretary of Labor and Employment Rosalinda DImapilis- Baldoz yesterday announced that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will mount 65 job fairs nationwide on May 1, Labor Day. Baldoz said the 65 job fairs scheduled on May 1 will gather 1,985 employers, who will be bringing in 115,384 job vacancies—easily surpassing the close to 100,000 job vacancies registered in last year’s Labor Day job fairs.

Labor department advises OFWs in Ukraine to stay in their homes

Manila, Philippines — Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz advised overseas Filipino workers in Ukraine to stay calm and stay in their homes amid the growing unrest and the threat of war in that country.
