More barangays placed under dengue alert

QUEZON City, Philippines – The number of barangays placed under dengue yellow alert increased from 47 last week to 80 this week. According to Assistant Health Secretary and DOH spokesman Dr. Eric Tayag, 84, 000 dengue cases, with 300 casualties have been recorded since January 2016. DOH denies reports on privatization of Fabella hospital

QUEZON City, Philippines – Department of Health spokesperson, Dr. Lyndon Lee-Suy, denied allegations that the temporary closure of the Dr. Jose Fabella Hospital in Sta. DOH sets aside Php 5M fund to address diarrhea outbreak in Zamboanga City

QUEZON CIty, Philippines – The Department of Health set aside Php 5 million in order to control the spread of diarrhea in Zamboanga City. Said city is suffering from a diarrhea outbreak as the number of patients surpassed alert levels. According to the City Health Office, from March 28 up to now, 1, 207 diarrhea cases were recorded. DOH, iniimbestigahan na ang pinanggalingan ng Norovirus

Zamboanga City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Nagpadala na ng epidemiologist ang Department of Health sa Zamboanga City para imbestigahan ang posibleng pinanggalingan ng Norovirus. Nagpadala na rin ang DOH ng mga gamot gaya ng IV fluids at oresol sa mga ospital at health center sa nasabing lugar. Apat na ang naiulat na nasawi dahil sa virus na sinasabing pinalala ng nararanasang El Niño phenomenon. Ilan sa sintomas ng virus ay diarrhea, pagsusuka at lagnat.
