QUEZON City, Philippines – The number of barangays placed under dengue yellow alert increased from 47 last week to 80 this week. Said city is suffering from a diarrhea outbreak as the number of patients surpassed alert levels. According to the City Health Office, from March 28 up to now, 1, 207 diarrhea cases were recorded. Zamboanga City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Nagpadala na ng epidemiologist ang Department of Health sa Zamboanga City para imbestigahan ang posibleng pinanggalingan ng Norovirus. Nagpadala na rin ang DOH ng mga gamot gaya ng IV fluids at oresol sa mga ospital at health center sa nasabing lugar. Apat na ang naiulat na nasawi dahil sa virus na sinasabing pinalala ng nararanasang El Niño phenomenon. Ilan sa sintomas ng virus ay diarrhea, pagsusuka at lagnat.
