VACC proposed return of death penalty
MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — The group of Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) calls for the return of the death penalty in the wake of the death sentence against Mary Jane Veloso in Indonesia. According to the group, the Philippines also face widespread illegal drugs problem and is part of the route of illegal drug cartels from Mexico and China.
Death sentences by Egyptian court condemned
Amnesty International has condemned Egypt in the wake of death sentences handed out by an Egyptian court against more than 500 members of the Muslim Brotherhood who were even sentenced in absentia.
