MANILA, Philippines — Just on its second hearing, the three impeachment complaints filed against President Benigno Aquino III were declared “insufficient in substance” by the House of Representatives Justice committee on Tuesday. The three complaints were dismissed separately, with most of the panel members (54) voting to junk each complaint as against only four members who voted for it. The three impeachment complaints against President Aquino have been declared sufficient in form by House Committee of Justice. The first two complaints deal with the DAP while the third deals with EDCA.
Budget Secretary Butch Abad said that Supreme Court’s decision disallowing the declaration of savings at the end of the year will be rendered useless once Congress re-defines what “savings” is.
