Two Davao judges appointed to Court of Appeals

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has promoted two judges based in Davao to the Court of Appeals. Bansalan, Davao del Sur Regional Trial Court Judge Loida Posadas-Kahulugan has been appointed to replace former Justice Socorro Inting. Inting is now a Commission on Elections commissioner. Davao City Regional Trial Court Judge Evalyn Arellano-Morales, on the other hand, takes the place of former Justice Melchor Quirino Sadang. Sadang retired last year.

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Court of Appeals Justice Jose Reyes Jr. to the Supreme Court. Reyes replaces Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco, who retired this week. CA justice named Comelec commissioner

(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has named Court of Appeals Justice Socorro Inting commissioner of the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said Inting, who replaced Commissioner Arthur Lim who retired in February, will serve until February 2, 2025. Inting, who was also a prosecutor, comes from Davao, like the President. Inting’s appointment comes as the Comelec gears up for the May barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
