DOJ: 505 convicts released under GCTA law have surrendered so far

(Eagle News)–Over 500 convicts released under the Good Conduct Time Allowance law have so far surrendered to authorities, the Department of Justice said. According to Justice Undersecretary and spokesperson Markk Perete, the 505 are in Bureau of Corrections custody. 2 convicts in Chiong sisters rape-slay surrender

(Eagle News)–Two of the three convicts in the Chiong sisters rape-slay who were released under the Good Conduct Time Allowance Law have surrendered. Ariel Balansag and Alberto Caño are reportedly already under custody of the Bureau of Corrections. The third, Josman Aznar, has yet to surrender. The others convicted for the crime were  Paco Larrañaga, Rowen Wesley Adlawan, James Andrew  Uy and James Anthony Uy. Larrañaga, who is of Spanish descent, is serving his sentence in Spain. […]

Guevarra says “not more than 10” convicts have surrendered following Duterte’s ultimatum

(Eagle News)–“Not more than ten” convicts who were released under the Good Conduct Time Allowance Law surrendered following President Rodrigo Duterte’s ultimatum on Wednesday, Sept. 4. This is according to Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, who shared the information under questioning by Senator Panfilo Lacson during the third Senate hearing on the GCTA law on Thursday, Sept. 5.
