COMELEC awards deal to Smartmatic

According to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), they awarded the Php 558 million contract to buy the electronic results transmission services to Smartmatic, adding that the said company was the lowest bidder as well as the most technically capable of the companies that joined the bidding. The Commission on Election (COMELEC) En Banc approved the planned use of shopping malls as voting centers in the coming elections.
