Pangangampanya, bawal muna – Comelec

(Eagle News) — Nagbabala ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) na posibleng ma-disqualify at makulong pa ang mga kandidatong mangangampanya mula bukas, Marso 24 hanggang Biyernes, Marso 25. Panawagan ng ahensya: dapat isaalang-alang ang karapatang panrelihiyon. Hindi anila dapat magkaroon ng anumang political activity kahit na ang simpleng pagkakabit lang ng campaign posters. Kaugnay nito, hinikayat din ng Comelec ang taumbayan na agad i-report sa kanila sakaling may pulitikong lalabag sa nabanggit na kabawalan.

COMELEC considers longer voting hours

MANILA,Philippines – The Commission on Elections is considering the possibility of longer voting hours on May 9 and are already making contingencies to ensure that there is still daylight at the end of the election. Supreme Court allows Poe to run for president

COMELEC and micro-blogging site releases official emojis for 2016 elections

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections, in partnership with the micro-blogging site, Twitter, launched its official emojis for the 2016 elections. When the appropriate hashtags were used, the official emojis will be generated which includes the icons of each presidential candidates. COMELEC starts transfer of official ballots

QUEZON City, Philippines – As the 2016 election nears, the Commission on Elections have started the transfer of the official ballots from the National Printing Office to its temporary warehouse in Marikina. Using a 10-wheeler truck, the COMELEC transferred 1.7 million official ballots that will then be sent to the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao. 15 seconds for electoral transparency

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections en banc decided to remove the printing function of the vote counting machines regarding vote receipts as this may cause delay in voting hours, which in turn may lead to electoral fraud.
