(Eagle News)–The once-waste-ridden Estero de Binondo in Manila is waste-ridden no more. This picture posted on the Pasig River Rehabilitation Commission Facebook page shows the clean creek reflecting the skies and buildings, something that seemed impossible with the amount of trash in its waters before. Cleanup efforts were led by the PRRC, along with volunteers.
Armed with their brooms, trash bags, and other cleaning materials, young Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in Hamamatsu, Kawasaki, Okinawa, Shinagawa and Yokota, along with all the other young members of the INC in Japan, worked in groups as they picked up litter and cleaned up the streets, parks and other public areas all over Japan.
