Malay mayor, business licensing officer dismissed from gov’t service over Boracay mess

(Eagle News)–Malay, Aklan Mayor Cicero Cawaling has been dismissed from government service. Apart from Cawaling, also dismissed by the Ombudsman was  Malay’s licensing officer Jen Salsona for gross neglect of duty, conduct unbecoming a public official and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of service for their failure to implement laws and ordinances that resulted in the deterioration of Boracay.
