6.4 magnitude earthquake hits northwest China: USGS

BEIJING, China (AFP) —  A 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck China’s northwestern province of Qinghai on Monday, the US Geological Survey reported, in an area frequently plagued with seismic activity.
