Puigdemont en prisión preventiva en Alemania mientras se resuelve su extradición

MADRID, España (Eagle News Service) — Carles Puigdemont se mantendrá en prisión mientras tramita la petición de entrega a España. Esto lo ha decidido el tribunal regional en Schleswig-Holstein de Alemania, un día después de que el ex-presidente fuese arrestado por rebelión mientras intentaba volver  por carretera desde Dinamarca a Bélgica, donde reside desde que se evadió. Spain to push ahead with suspending Catalan autonomy

Spain court orders Catalan independence session suspended

MADRID, Spain (AFP) — Spain’s Constitutional Court on Thursday ordered the suspension of a planned session in Catalonia’s parliament at which separatist leaders have called for the region to declare independence. Judges “ordered the suspension of the plenary that has been called for Monday in the (Catalan) parliament” while it hears an appeal lodged against it, a spokeswoman said, as the court confirmed the ruling in a written statement.
