Canadian government naglabas ng travel advisory sa mga bibiyahe sa Pilipinas

(Eagle News) – Naglabas ng travel advisory ang Canada laban sa pagbiyahe sa Pilipinas. Ito ay dahil umano sa mataas na banta ng terorismo, gaya ng nangyari sa Marawi, at kaso ng pagdukot. Sa pamamagitan ng travel advisory, pinayuhan ng gobyerno ng Canada ang kanilang mga mamamayan na iwasan ang magtungo sa Mindanao kabilang ang mga lungsod ng Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, General Santos, Isabela, Jolo, Kidapawan at Zamboanga. Canadian Government offers condolences after MB Nirvana’s Tragedy

MANILA, Philippines, July 3 (Eagle News) — The Canadian Government offered its condolences to the Philippines after the capsizing tragedy in Ormoc City that claimed the lives of 42 people. Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Rob Nicholson said that Canada was deeply saddened over the tragedy. OFWs in Canada to return home in April

Thousands of Filipino temporary workers would be sent home this April due to the four-year rule implemented by the Canadian government. Since 2011 Canada had implemented the said law which allows temporary foreign workers (TFWS) to work for four years.  Under the law, they could not return to Canada in the next four years.
