MMDA: Bus terminals along Edsa to be closed in June

(Eagle News)–Bus terminals along Edsa will be closed in June, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Tuesday, March 26. According to Jojo Garcia, MMDA general manager, the decision, aimed at reducing congestion in the major thoroughfare,  was reached during a Metro Manila Council meeting the day before. He said a dryrun with the closed bus terminals will be held after the long holiday  in April.

Bus terminals flooded with passengers for long weekend

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Passengers who plan to return to their home provinces this long weekend have rushed to the various bus terminals in Metro Manila as early as this week. The Philippine National Police – National Capital Regional Police Office deployed members of the police there to ensure the safety of passengers. In each terminal, at least three police officers were deployed.

Thousands of passengers expected at bus terminals
