According to the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Region 6, in the first six months alone, foreign tourist arrivals in the region have reached over 2 million. DOT: Tourist arrivals still rising despite Marawi crisis
(Eagle News) – The number of tourists who are visiting the country continues to rise despite the ongoing crisis in Marawi City. According to Tourism Assistant Secretary Ricky Alegre, Boracay, Bohol and Palawan are the places with high tourist arrivals. Alegre said more than 600,000 tourists visit the country every month, including Koreans, Americans and Chinese.
