Bicam approves bill seeking to put in place national ID system

(Eagle News) — The bicameral conference committee approved on Tuesday night a bill seeking to put in place a national ID system. Senator Panfilo Lacson, chair of the Senate committee on public order, expressed hopes the reconciled version would be ratified by both the House of Representatives and the Senate before Monday, May 28. Bicam approves bill seeking harsher penalties for hazing

(Eagle News) — The bicameral committee of Congress has reconciled the Senate and House of Representatives versions of an amended anti-hazing law. Senator Panfilo Lacson said that under the reconciled version of  Senate Bill 1662 and House Bill 6573, stricter penalties were imposed for hazing.
