(Eagle News)–The United States embassy will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The embassy said its affiliated offices will also be closed on that day, in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day, a national non-working holiday. Operations at the embassy and their affiliated offices will resume on Thursday, Aug. 22, the embassy said.
(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte has declared Aug. 21 a holiday. In Proclamation No. 556, Duterte said the declaration was in observance of Eid’l Adha celebrated by those subscribing to the Islamic faith. He noted that Republic Act No. 9849 provides that Eid’l Adha be observed as a regular holiday.
