Andreas Seppi beat fifth seed Tommy Robredo on Thursday (June 18) to reach the quarter-finals of the Halle Open. The Italian defeated the Spaniard 6-2 6-7(6) 6-3. Seppi will next face Frenchman Gael Monfils, who defeated Mikhail Kukushkin in straight sets. Fourth seed Monfils beat the Kazakh 7-6(1) 6-4.
