Over 300 stranded in various ports due to Northeast Monsoon

Rough sea condition caused by a Northeast Monsoon has stranded a total of 352 passengers in various ports nationwide, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said Wednesday morning. Those stranded include 28 rolling cargoes; 40 vessels and 34 motorbancas. PAGASA notes increasingly hotter days indicating end of northeast monsoon

Cloudy skies all over the Philippines

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical & Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Luzon is still under the influence of the northeastern monsoon or “amihan”. Most of the country will be cloudy or partly cloudy.

Northeast monsoon

A low pressure area was spotted by the PAGASA but said LPA will dissolve once it hits the country. Next week will mark the start of the northeast monsoon or “amihan” season.
