Russia bars Navalny presidential bid

MOSCOW, Russia (AFP) — Russia’s Central Election Commission on Monday unanimously rejected top opposition figure Alexei Navalny’s bid to run against President Vladimir Putin next year, leading him to urge a boycott of the polls.
