AFP calms public regarding terrorism

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) issued a statement asking the public to remain calm after the United States issued a travel advisory asking its citizens to be careful regarding terrorist attacks in the Philippines.

AFP brings more relief assistance

Boxes of canned goods, water, rice and generator sets were brought by the Armed Forces of the Philippines when it visited Albay. Syrian militants surround camp of Filipino U.N. peacekeepers

(Reuters) — Syrian militants have surrounded an encampment of U.N. peacekeepers, Philippine armed forces spokesperson Domingo Tutaan said on Friday (August 29). Militants fighting the Syrian army have detained 43 U.N. peacekeepers from Fiji in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, and trapped 81 troops from the Philippines, the United Nations said on Thursday (August 28).
