“Maybe I’ll fire (gov’t) corporate counsel,” Duterte says

(Eagle News)—President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday, May 19, said  he might just sack the chief of the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel. He was apparently referring to Rudolf Philip Jurado, whom he appointed as government corporate counsel in April last year. Duterte did not elaborate. He said however that some individuals have entered government only so they could get enrich themselves. VP Binay says corruption charges againts him will not stand in court

VP Binay decried the accusations of corruptions against him and his family, saying that these are merely recycled accusations that come out every election. Binay vehemently denied that the Makati City building two was overpriced, as alleged in the senate blue ribbon sub-committee, and stressed that his accusers and detractors used wrong data.
