(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Ilocos Norte on Thursday, March 21. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the quake hit 34 kilometers northeast of Pagudpud at 8:24 a.m. The depth of focus of the earthquake, which was of tectonic origin, was 18 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.

According to PHIVOLCS, the quake struck 39 kilometers southeast of Gonzaga at 3:52 a.m. An Intensity I was felt in Gonzaga, PHIVOLCS said. The earthquake had a depth of 19 kilometers. It was of tectonic origin. PHIVOLCS said no aftershocks nor damage were expected.
