Shaking took about 2 minutes: Eagle News correspondent in California reports right after 6.4 magnitude quake




 

LANCASTER, Calif. (Eagle News) — Eagle News Correspondent Ivan Sanchez reports from Lancaster, California after experiencing a 6.4 earthquake. The quake was originally reported as a magnitude 6.6 earthquake but later the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed it as a 6.4 .

“The shaking was for about two minutes,” Sanchez said, reporting 10 minutes after the quake.

Sanchez described the movement as a “side-to-side sway.”

California is one of US states with a high concentration of Filipino-Americans.

As of 2010 data, the number of Filipino-Americans living in the area was estimated at more than 1.4 million, according to the US Census Bureau.
