Senator Lacson says Solano wasted chance to become state witness

(Eagle News) — Senator Panfilo Lacson on Wednesday expressed regret that John Paul Solano wasted the opportunity to become a state witness in the hazing death of University of Sto. Tomas law student Horacio “Atio” Castillo III

Lacson, the chair of the Senate Committee on Public Order said that, Solano, being the least guilty,  could have qualified as state witness.

But Lacson noted that Solano, a former medical technology student of UST, instead chose to cover up the actions of his fraternity brothers.

“With the tell-all tale of Marc Anthony Ventura as bared by SOJ (Secretary of Justice) Aguirre, John Paul Solano blew all his chances to become a state witness as he would have been the most probable Aegis Juris member to qualify as such,” Lacson posted on his social media account.

Solano was the Aegis Juris member who was called by his fraternity brothers to help revive Castillo after he  lost consciousness during the fraternity’s initiation rites early dawn of September 17, Sunday.
