(Eagle News) – The latest social weather survey showed that net satisfaction ratings of Vice-President Leni Robredo sharply fell by 14 points the past quarter compared to the previous quarter’s +42.

For June this year, Robredo had a “net satisfaction” rating of +28, according to the Social Weather Survey this second quarter of 2019.

“Vice-President Robredo’s net satisfaction rating fell from good to moderate, down by 14 points from +42 in March 2019 to +28 in June 2019,” the SWS report said.

“The 14-point decline in the overall net satisfaction rating of Vice-Pres. Robredo was due to decreases of 21 points in the Visayas, 18 points in Mindanao, and 13 points in Balance Luzon, combined with a steady net rating in Metro Manila,” it said.

The SWS noted that Robredo’s net satisfaction rating fell from very good to good in the Visayas, down from +65 in March to +44 in June.

It also fell from “good to moderate in Mindanao, down from +33 in March to +15 in June.”

Her ratings also dropped from good to moderate in Balance Luzon, down from +46 in March to +33 in June, but stayed as a moderate +14 in Metro Manila from March to June.

Even in the rural areas, her net ratings fell from “very good to good, down from +50 in March to +41 in June,” the SWS noted.

Likewise, in the urban areas, her net satisfaction “fell from good to moderate, down from +30 in March to +12 in June.”

-Double digit declines in almost all basic socio-demographic areas-

The SWS also noted “double-digit declines” for Robredo in all basic socio-demographics, except for a single digit decline in Class E, and a slight increase among the 18-24 years old and the college graduates.

“Compared to March 2019, the June 2019 survey found double-digit declines in Vice-Pres. Robredo’s net satisfaction rating in all basic socio-demographics, except for the single-digit changes among class E (down from +50 to +42), the 18-24 year olds (up slightly from +29 to +30), and college graduates (up from +6 to +13),” the SWS report explained.

Her big dip in the ratings were in contrast to the record-high very good of +51 for the Duterte cabinet as a whole.

The net satisfaction ratings of the Senate, House of Representatives and the Supreme Court also had “record high” marks.

The Second Quarter 2019 Social Weather Survey, conducted from June 22-26, 2019, found 57% satisfied and 29% dissatisfied with the performance of Robredo.

During this period, Robredo had made various comments on President Rodrigo Duterte’s handling of the West Philippine Sea issue, particularly the Recto Bank incident.
