Robredo urges vigilance, condoles with those affected by Luzon quake

(Eagle News)–Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday, April 23, condoled with those affected by the 6.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Luzon the day before.

“Lubos akong nakikiramay sa lahat ng napinsala sa lindol kahapon,” she said in a statement.

Robredo also urged vigilance and readiness.

“Ang trahedyang ito ay paalala sa bawat isa sa atin na ang panganib ay maaring bigla ang pagdating, at dapat tayo’y laging handa,” she said.

At least seven people were killed in the quake that struck at 5:11 p.m. on Monday, April 22, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.

The NDRRMC said 81 people were injured and at least 20 were also missing.
