Reuters — Two supernatural films fight it out for the box office top spot on Super Bowl weekend (January 3).

“Split,” the latest film from M. Night Shyamalan, could tell the number one position for the third straight week, according to BoxOfficePro. It stars James McAvoy as a man with multiple personalities and is expected to add an extra $13.5 million to its $97.6 million take so far.

Meanwhile, it’s expected that new release “Rings” will take between $10 million and $14 million at the box office when it opens in theaters this weekend.

“Rings” is the third installment in the psychological horror franchise about a cursed video that kills its viewers seven days after they watch it. This latest entry, originally slated to have been released in 2016, brings the cursed footage concept up to date with an online video instead of a videotape.

This week’s other major new release, “The Space Between Us,” was also due to hit theaters last year. The sci-fi teen romance, which stars Asa Butterfield and Britt Robertson, is expected to debut around $8 million to $10 million and land mid-table in the box office top ten.

Holdovers “A Dog’s Purpose,” award season favorites “Hidden Figures” and “La La Land,” and video game adaptation “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” are expected to bulk out the rest of the chart with additional ticket takes in the region of $9.7 million, $9.1 million, $8.8 million and $4.49 million respectively
