Republicans retain control of House: projections

WASHINGTON, United States (AFP) — The Republican Party looked set to keep its majority in the US House of Representatives in Tuesday’s election, two television networks projected.

NBC and ABC said early results indicated the party would keep at least 218 of the 435 seats in the chamber.
