Rea wins second race of Donington to extend championship lead

DONINGTON PARK, United Kingdom (Reuters) — Kawasaki driver Jonathan Rea won the second race at Donington Park on Sunday (May 28) to extend his overall lead over teammate Tom Sykes in the championship.

Sykes, who won the race on Saturday (May 28), came in second position and now trails Rea by 55 points in the overall standings.

Rea crashed out of the race on Saturday, allowing his rivals to slightly reduce his staggering overall lead.

Ducati’s Chaz Davies came in third.
