Ratliffe returns as Star breaks tie with TNT

051017_SHS_KTNT_Paul Lee_moaPasay City – The Purefoods Star Hotshots won their seventh win and broke the tie with TNT KaTropa to move to third place in the 2017 PBA Commissioners Cup standings.

The return of Star import Ricardo Ratliffe powered the team as he scored 37 points to go along with twenty-two rebounds. Paul Lee added firepower for the hotshots as he tallied 17 points five boards, five assists and timely three-pointers to help seal the victory for Star.

Star managed to erase an early 16 point deficit to get the victory. With the win, the Star now possess a 7-2 record and they have a huge chance of getting into the top spot in the standings to get a twice to beat advantage in the Quarterfinals.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the re-adjusting TNT KaTropa dropped into the fifth spot with a 6-3 record. KaTropa were led by import Donte Greene with 29 points and 12 rebounds while Kelly Williams also added for the teams total by scoring 16 points and grabbed five boards. TNT, who just recently lost their three-point sniper Larry Fonacier, has gone 1-1 since his departure.
