QC barangay chair, three others killed in ambush

(Eagle News) — A Quezon City barangay chair who had plans of running for a seat in the House of Representatives in May was shot dead on Wednesday, Jan. 30.

According to Supt. Joel Villanueva, station 6 commander, apart from Crisell Beltran of Barangay Bagong Silangan, three others were killed after four men on board motorcycles shot at the vehicle the group was riding around 11:30 a.m.

Beltran was rushed to the Far Eastern University hospital on Commonwealth Ave. but she was declared dead at 12:25 p.m.

Beltran was in her last term as barangay chair.
