(Eagle News) — The son of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, Christian Lawrence, placed third in the 2019 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination this October.
The senator’s son, who graduated summa cum laude from the De La Salle University – Manila, got 89.50 percent in the CPA board exams.
He said he was “very proud” of his son and as a parent he could not even begin to express how he was so happy with his son’s achievement.
“I am very proud of my son. Hindi ko mailarawan ang kaligayahang nadadama ko ngayon (I cannot describe the joy I am feeling right now),” he said in a statement.
Go is still with President Rodrigo Duterte in Japan who has cut short his trip because of “unbearable pain” in his spine suspected to be cause by his recent motorcycle accident.
“Bilang isang ama, wala akong ibang hinahangad kundi makitang matagumpay ang aking mga anak,” he added.
Go’s son, Christian Lawrence, placed third of the 2,075 who passed the CPA Board Exams. The total number of examinees reached 14,492
Go could not help but compare his son’s no. 3 finish to his also placing no. 3 in the senatorial race.
“Nagkataon na pareho kaming top 3— ako noong nakaraang halalan at siya ngayon naman sa CPA licensure exams” said Go who also congratulated the other CPA board passers.
