MANILA, Philippines — President Aquino issued two orders regarding the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.
The President signed Presidential Proclamation 815 which declared the year 2014 as the Iglesia Ni Cristo centennial year.
In the said presidential proclamation, the government also recognized the significant contributions made by the Iglesia Ni Cristo to the Filipino people, especially in the spiritual aspect.
He also directed the Postmaster General to print commemorative stamps to recognize the INC centennial.
The President also issued Memorandum Circular Number 66 to create Task Force Sentenaryo to be headed by MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino. The task force will supervise and ensure peace and order on the occasion of the INC’s centennial celebration at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan on July 27.
