(Eagle News) – President Rodrigo Duterte greeted Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo on his 65th birthday on Oct. 31.

The President said that Brother Eduardo V. Manalo is an inspiring leader who has empowered and guided many to take the right path and has been an important partner of the government in promoting spiritual health.

“I send my most heartfelt greetings to Brother Eduardo as you celebrate your 65th birthday,” Duterte said.

“It is my pleasure to work with leaders like you who selflessly devote their lives in ensuring that your people are empowered and guided to take the right path,” Duterte said.

The President said that the INC leader has inspired many people not just in the Philippines but in many parts of the world to lead meaningful lives.

“I thank you for being an important partner of government in promoting the spiritual health and well-being of your brothers and sisters in faith as well as those who seek enlightenment in the hardest of times,” Duterte said.

“As you welcome another year, I wish you long life and good health, so that you may continue to be the source of strength, hope and inspiration to your fellow Filipinos especially during this COVID pandemic,” the President said.

President Duterte and other government leaders have greeted the INC Executive MInister on his birthday, recognizing his dynamic leadership and the INC’s contributions to the betterment of the nation as well as to help people all over the world.

Under his stewardship, the Church has given hope and helped people through various projects including the various Aid to Humanity or Lingap sa Mamamayan events, eco-farming projects, and other socio-civic activities that have reached out to those in need not just in the Philippines, but all over the world.

The INC has also helped the government to address the COVID-19 pandemic with the use of the Ciudad de Victoria complex, including the grounds of the Philippine Arena, as a quarantine facility for repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
