UPDATED: Police nab suspects in QC barangay chair killing

(Eagle News)–The police have nabbed the four suspects in the killing of Quezon City, Barangay Bagong Silangan chair Beng Beltran.

National Capital Region Police Office chief Guillermo Eleazar identified the suspects in a press conference as  brothers Ruel Juab, Orlando Juab and Joppy Juab and Teofilo Formanes

Eleazar said Warren Juab and Dutchboy Bello are still at large.

The six allegedly fired at Beltran’s vehicle from on board three motorcycles on J.P. Rizal St. on Tuesday, Jan. 29.

Apart from Beltran, her driver, Melchor Salita, was killed, while several others were injured.

Eleazar said also arrested were five other people who had tried to stop the police team from arresting the four suspects.

At the time Beltran was killed, she had announced she had plans to run for a seat in the House of Representatives.
